Domus Blanc is a restored boutique hotel located in the historical core of Chania, developed by Hellenic Homes through a full architectural and structural overhaul. Originally built in 1870 as the private residence of French Consul Paul Blanc, the neoclassical structure was repurposed into a modern hospitality property while maintaining its original form. The restoration preserved key elements such as the facade, internal staircases, and ornamental features, integrating them with upgraded systems and interior redesign.
The transformation included structural reinforcements, energy-efficient infrastructure, and redesigned common areas including a café bistro, garden, and outdoor pool. A total of 12 rooms were constructed, each with custom furnishings and upscale finishes. All works were completed with sensitivity to the building’s heritage designation, combining historical value with modern standards for comfort, accessibility, and operational functionality.

Location
The hotel is located on Mavrogenidon Street, in the heart of Chania, within walking distance of the Venetian Harbor and the Old Town. Despite being in a central location, the area maintains a calm, residential character, surrounded by neoclassical buildings and quiet side streets.
Domus Blanc benefits from immediate access to shops, restaurants, and cultural landmarks, making it an ideal base for guests who wish to explore both the traditional and urban sides of the city.
